We decided to change it up for a Sunday afternoon and take a drive to Santa Cruz. We thought there might be horrible traffic for the holiday weekend and we'd need a backup plan but it all worked soooo smoothly. No traffic, no wait time at the Crow's Nest (a favorite spot), and the kids sat through the entire meal. We were a little shocked how nicely it all worked out.
